Frustrated Child on the Verge of Meltdown? Here’s Something to Check For!

I wanted to share a story that happened with my 5-year-old son.

My son, today,  was super fussy, frustrated, angry, crying, yawning and basically not doing very well at all.  I knew that he had quite a lot of sleep last night and that he had a big breakfast and shouldn’t be hungry. I tried to get him to rest anyway, but that didn’t help.  Since food & rest are at the root of nearly all of the problems of young children, I was grasping for what might be the issue.

Then I remembered that he had been working on his Kindergarten workbook in the car on the way to work this morning. I asked him if there was anything that he didn’t understand in the book.

He said, “I need help!

He had actually asked for help earlier, but I didn’t get at the time that he was talking about the book. Anyway, we sat down with his book and it turned out that he had gone through 12 pages of the workbook without really understanding what he was doing. There were words he didn’t understand and some of it was too hard for him and needed more step by step instruction. I used L. Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology to help him, starting from the beginning of the 12 pages. He was super happy at the end, gave me a high five and had all of his energy restored! Quite amazing.

Without knowing what I know about how to study, I might have just been stern and told him to stop fussing or distracted him onto another activity, etc.  This, however, gave me a vital tool in the parents’ tool belt.  I am so happy that I learned about Study Technology when I was very young and trained on several courses on it throughout the years. It is just invaluable. You and those you care about may feel upset, tired, “bored”, etc., etc. and not really know why – and at the root of it is just misunderstood words.

You do not have to be a Scientologist to find out about this technology and use it. It is truly simple and very effective, used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.  Please watch this video below, it will be well worth your time!

There is also a free course that anyone can do on the subject that gives you all of the tools necessary to detect and handle similar study problems.  I’d heavily recommend it as a tool any parent should have at the ready!
