Helping to Trim the Tree

Trimming the Tree, originally uploaded by tadnkat.

The two kids came over to our Church this evening while mom met with some friends there. All was the run-of-the-mill running around and “being kids” until my daughter spotted folks putting up a Christmas tree in the chapel.

Naturally – as she has an irrepressible urge to help – she asked what folks were doing, and asked if she could help. After being shown what to do, she was an unstoppable ornament-hanging machine, getting an ornament onto every remotely load-bearing branch she could reach.

And yes, in case anyone was wondering, many of us Scientology folk do celebrate Christmas. My friend Sam wrote an excellent post on such.
