Video: Scientology and Raising Children

I’ve posted a number of other articles & videos to attempt to summarize my views on applying Scientology as a parent, but this video – recently posted on the Church of Scientology Youtube Channel, summarizes best some of the most key points.    If you’re interested in how Scientologists approach parenting, the above video is worth a watch.

• A Child’s Right to their Own Self-Determinism:  Some of the source materials on this from the Scientology on-line course are here, and I discussed it in a recent blog post – as I think it’s also a different way to look at child-proofing.
• A Child’s Right to Contribute:  I cut a video a bit ago on how I feel about the point of children being allowed to contribute, and is probably the one thing I’ve written about more than any other point on the site.   The full article on the Scientology Courses site is here.
• Using Assists for Illnesses, Upsets & Injuries:  Scientology Assists have extremely widespread use.   Whether for injuries, or just for dealing with the transient upsets that kids have – it’s a vital tool to have in your toolbox as a parent.
