Now She’s Walking!! | Ready, Steady, GO!!!
After she took her first steps a little over a month ago, Mackenzie has been toying with the idea of independent walking, but mostly has stuck to crawling as her primary means of motivation. However, that all changed this week when she all of the sudden just picked up and started walking around the house. It was just BLAM – next thing you know she’s walking.

And for the first two hours (where this video footage was taken) she was just learning a new skill regards walking about every 10 mins. When she first started, she couldn’t turn. Then, 10 mins later, she was turning on her own. Then, she learned to stop & pick up something & stand back up on her own. Then she learned to do it without holding on to anything. It was just bam/bam/bam one after the other.
So proud of her!
Look at her, little speed racer! So cute! Congrats you two. She’s beautiful!!
Thanks! She’s doing fantastic right now, and has not slowed down a bit since this video. In fact, she still hasn’t figured out how to slow down, which is sort of a problem. 🙂
Yes, once they start, they don’t stop! I learned from my niece. Whew! Tiring.
BTW, from your blog and photo projects, you look like the world’s awesomest and most caring dad! Kathryn and Mackenzie are lucky to have you. 🙂
Aw, shucks!! 🙂 I really am having fun being a daddy. But honestly, I just thank my lucky stars for the fact that I have Kat as the mommy. She is just incredible. She’s the master at Scientology assist tech, which has a major bearing on the fact that Mackenzie is always in such a great mood – as opposed to sullen and restimulated like some other kids I’ve seen. It’s really just a dream, parenting with her. Makes me all the more interested in doing something awesome for our 10-year anniversary, which is coming up in just a few days!
Wow Tad! Congrats to you and Kat on your ten years! That’s awesome! 🙂 I definitely plan to apply Dianetics and Scientology technologies to my kids when I have them. The difference is pretty obvious, in the children AND the parents.
